### Signature Flight Support Inaugurates New Fixed Base Operation at Boeing Field King County International Airport

 Aug 8, 2017

Signature Flight Support inaugurated its new fixed base operation (FBO) today at Boeing Field King County International Airport (BFI) in Seattle, Washington.

The state of the art, modern architecture location consists of a 6,250 sq. ft. executive terminal utilizes the latest energy efficient LED technology for lighting and high-efficiency climate control. The project cost an estimated $11.5 million. Signature demolished the old facility and hangar as part of the redevelopment process.

Signature collaborated with Boeing Field King County Airport and King County Water & Land Resources Department and King County Department of Permitting and Environmental Review to establish an experimental system for storm water management as part of the new development.  This system will be monitored in the coming years to determine if acceptable to use on future airport development projects.

“Signature’s new facility at Boeing Field King County International Airport is a fantastic option especially for aircraft traveling trans-pacific as a tech stop.  We are pleased to have this magnificent facility in the Pacific Northwest with Seattle’s long history in aviation and rich cultural attributes. We are especially pleased with the relationship we have with the airport and County government resulting in a collaborative storm water management innovation.  We are invested for the long-term and see a bright future for the airport and the Seattle area”, stated Maria A. Sastre, President and Chief Operating Officer for Signature Flight Support.

“King County International Airport/Boeing Field is thrilled to be part of this celebration of Signature Flight's new executive terminal," Airport Director Randall Berg said. "As one of our biggest Fixed-Base Operators (FBO's), Signature's success is a testament to the role it plays in Northwest aviation. Their new facility, located a stone's throw away from the Airport's main terminal building, is another example of how, by working together, the future of this Airport is limitless.”

Signature also operates at Seattle Tacoma International Airport providing fueling, executive terminal facilities and flight support services.
