### Signature Flight Support acquires JETS FBO facility at London Biggin Hill Airport

 Feb 26, 2014

Signature Flight Support, a BBA Aviation company, announced today that it has acquired the FBO assets of the JETS facility at London Biggin Hill (EGKB/BQH). JETS will continue to operate its core business of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, whilst Signature Flight Support will own and operate the FBO assets.

The addition of the London Biggin Hill location complements Signature’s other London locations at London Luton, London Heathrow and London Gatwick.  Biggin Hill is ranked in the Top 15 European B&GA airports and is the 3 rd largest business and general aviation airport in the UK in terms of aircraft traffic.  The location is closest to the eastern portion of the City of London and Canary Wharf.  The airport is not slot-constrained in addition to being a designated Port of Entry, and is a dedicated business and general aviation airport providing scheduling flexibility to private aircraft.

Maria Sastre, President and Chief Operating Officer commented on the acquisition, “Signature’s acquisition of the London Biggin Hill location brings even more choice for our customers when travelling to London.  The proximity of Biggin Hill to the City of London offers significant time-saving advantages and airport choice during peak travel times to and from London. We look forward to welcoming customers to Signature Biggin Hill and to the completion of our state-of-the art London Luton location.”

Groupjet Managing Director, Dave Jackson  stated, “With our ever developing capability and the potential increase in traffic from this transaction,  JETS will be well positioned to provide engineering and technical support to the FBO and we look forward to our new on-site relationship with Signature Flight Support.”

Robert Walters, Director of Business Development for the airport added, “Signature’s global footprint and knowledge are unrivalled in the FBO world and we are thrilled to be able to welcome them to Biggin Hill. The airport is embarking on some exciting projects over the next 12 months and Signature’s presence here will only help enhance the experience for existing and new customers alike.”

Signature Flight Support offers its full suite of world-class customer service and flight support including its pilot rewards program Signature TailWins ®.
